Vince,
I have ridden it twice since July. Going up Ogden Canyon, then to point about 4 miles past Monty Cristo is an exceptional ride, beyond that point its nice all the way to Woodruff. The road T's at Woodruff and the ride going either direction from there is not bad nor is it great. I was up in the Tremonton area yesterday but there was nothing to write home about.

I wouldn't mind taking Hwy 89 up to Brigham city still ( or Beyond) It will be a lot less crowded than this weekend and some great places to stop for lunch.
Oh wait, box elder county probably closes down on Sunday.

It definitely closes up. I think the ride to Woodruff then back to Ogden would be nice. A bit longer than normal but fun!

Small cc engines lets say less than 100cc will struggle on the road heading up to Monty Cristo and then work hard for a few miles past that. It is steep and has a lot of "S" turns during that section. Once past that it is not bad, coming back it is down hill mostly so good breaks are key to your survival.
That said, the road is fun to ride the elevation high so sun screen for those who need it, even with clouds. Bring along a beer or two because once we are done with the S curves you will want one.
Cheers, lets have some fun.

After taking a good hard look at the Utah map -- does anyone want to ride all of the way to Woodruff? It would be about a 60 mile one way trip starting from Ogden. Monty Cristo, looks like it is about 2/3rds of the way to Woodruff, which by its self is a long ride and tiring because of the twisting road. Of course there is a c-store at the end of that road but I don't know if it is open on Sunday and I don't know if you could get gas if needed.
The question I have is, is do we want to ride 120 miles and then for Vince, ride back to the nether reaches of SLC?
Just my two cents,
Brad

I prefer a shorter ride over a longer ride. Some people might like a longer ride. Let's discuss this Sunday.
